In Memoriam

From time to time loss comes to all.  Chapter AZ-G is no exception.  This page is dedicated to those who will ride with us no more until we all earn our “wings”.  Here we can take a moment to remember.

George Thomas 1941 – 2010

George and Enid

George and Enid Bernard have been fixtures in Chapter G since its inception.  George has been an icon of motorcycling in Green Valley for far longer.  George was a quiet man.  You would never know that he was the co-founder of the Wrinkle Riders of Green Valley and active in many service and social groups here.  George succumbed to an unknown respiratory problem after surgery.  He will be sorely missed by many, especially Enid.

Donald Robert Ryen, 1943 – 2010

Bob Ryen was taken from Leota, his children and from us all too early.  A Cowboy by birth and a heavy equipment operator by trade, Bob never saw an animal or a machine he didn’t like.  He was a true Christian gentleman and everything that title implies.  He is missed by too many to count as evidenced by the folks who attended his memorial service.  Bob and Leota were active members of the Mountain Avenue Church of Christ and the church was filled with family, friends and admirers from far and wide.   He made quick friends and was true to them.  He and Leota were fixtures with GWRRA Chapter AZ-G and AZ-A.  All enjoyed Bob’s dry wit and gentle nature. So long, Bob.  We all hope to see you as we pass the same way.
